Social Services Manager
Silvia worked as an immigration paralegal at several law firms before joining CARECEN SF’s Family Wellness Program. She has a passion for social justice, education, and self-sufficiency.
Silvia holds a M.A. in Integrative Health Studies and a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies with Social Justice orientation from California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) with certification in Wellness and Health Coaching and Guided Imagery. Silvia also holds certificates as a Community Mental Health Worker from City College of San Francisco, Ecotherapy advanced training from Pacifica Graduate Institute, Horticultural Therapy from University of Colorado, and Permaculture Design from Merritt College.
Silvia delivers Support Groups for Latin Women to promote wellness and health through connecting with the healing power of Nature and Traditional Art expressions.
When Silvia is not at work, she loves dancing, biking, hiking, and as a Master Gardener, providing education about how to grow your own food at Community Gardens around the San Francisco Bay Area.
