Born in the San Fernando Valley and the daughter of Mexican and Salvadoran parents, Gladys was always interested in helping the immigrant community. She has dedicated her work around advocating for immigrant rights and hopes to become an immigration attorney in the future. She received a BA in Rhetoric and Spanish Literature and Language from the University of California, Berkeley.
