Receptionist

Dixa was born in Costa Rica and grew up in Nicaragua. She was raised by her single mother, who taught her many important character traits and life lessons like being independent and a hard worker. In addition, Dixa’s mom taught her the importance of helping others and to have compassion, especially towards disadvantaged populations. She tries to apply these lessons at her place of work. Dixa’s passion is helping those who need the most help. She has worked as an instructor for individuals with developmental disabilities, which taught her about being patient, understanding and sensitive towards other people. Dixa is happy to be working at CARECEN SF as she will be able to help her Latino community with important issues such as gaining legal status in the U.S. She is looking forward towards gaining more experience working to help our immigrant community.
