Case Manager/Peer Educator — Second Chance Youth Program & Tattoo Removal Clinic

Son of Salvadoran parents, Victorino has been involved in the art world since he was a child. Victorino graduated from the Media Department at San Francisco School Of the Arts High School in 2010. Victorino has received a few film awards and has presented at a two international film festivals (San Francisco and Greece). Victorino has acted with ShadowLight Productions, and was recently in a Indie film “Love Cecy.” He has worked with well known Bay Area hip hop artists doing music video work. An avid photographer, Victorino has also worked on a few short documentaries which is leading to more film work. Since the age of 7, Victorino has been learning Capoeira and now motivates young teens to try out the beautiful hobby. Victorino has been drumming with the San Francisco Fogo Na Roupa (Groupo Carnavalesco) for 11 years and continues to grow as a drummer. As Case Manager/Peer Educator, Victorino holds support groups out of Mission High School and John O’Connell High School during the week and teaches Afro-Brazilian drumming to youth in a partnership between CARECEN SF and Mission Cultural Center. He is passionate about his work and believes in trying to change youth lives by guiding them towards a better path because he was once one of them. Victorino is motivated to change the community and bring art and new forms of thinking to our community and our youth.
