Youth Leadership Second Chance Tattoo Removal Program

Our Second Chance Program provides a chance for a new start and a better future for youth through removing tattoos that pose a threat to their personal safety or are an obstacle to securing employment. Founded in 1998, the Second Chance Program is the only one of its kind in San Francisco.

With licensed staff from the Department of Public Health managing the medical component of tattoo removal, our program staff provides case management and assistance with finding appropriate job training, employment, community service, and educational opportunities. Additionally, our Young Women's and Young Men's Healing Circles affords our clients safe, supportive environments to discuss and resolve difficult issues.
